My name is Esther, I am 21 years old and an ambitious third year Contour Fashion student at De Montfort University. I currently live in Leicester for my studies at University, but I am originally from Derbyshire.

Designing high quality Contour Garments for people to wear and enjoy is one of my ultimate dreams. Apart from my extensive Contour Fashion Design knowledge, I also possess a vast range of technical skills, such as using all Adobe Creative Suite confidently, being highly adept in Microsoft Office, being trained in Lectra Modaris 2D and 3D, pattern cutting, garment manufacture and fit methodologies and Analysis’. Alongside my wealth of technical skills, I also possess an extremely creative mindset, a sharp eye for detail and impressive commercial awareness. I have a GCSE in Fine Art and I have achieved a B in A-Level Textiles; therefore I carry a range of creative skills.

As shown in my second year results of a 1:1, I have an outstanding work ethic and always try my hardest, no matter what the challenge. My effective communication skills and high levels of initiative enable me to thrive individually and within a team, and respond well to constructive criticism, as I see this as a further opportunity to showcase my skills. My time management and organisation skills are exemplary, as shown in my first and second years of University when I met every deadline, and in most cases beat deadlines comfortably.

When I am not studying at University, I am either socialising with my friends, spending time with my family and my dog at my home in the Peak District or at a spin class! I love up-cycling old clothes and creating any textiles pieces in my spare time. I am a hugely devoted gym-goer and have an enormous passion for fitness. I love to reflect my passion for tight fitted and empowering workout garments into my designs.
